Viktoria B. Sayrs lives and paints in the village of Merizo on the island of Guam, U.S.A.  She paints with both watercolors and acrylics to portray the lush, tropical beauty of the Pacific island.  Her scenes of Guam are especially enjoyed by off-islanders who miss the warmth and charm of the island.  People say that her pictures capture the spirit of Guam.

Viktoria B. Sayrs is of the Vander Velde family of artists.  Her grandmother was Hanny Vander Velde, a well-known American artist. Her mother, Alma Vander Velde, painted in Guam and Micronesia for over 50 years.  Alma  started Viktoria out painting when she was two years old.  Viktoria has spent her life pursuing art in Chuuk, Guam, and Hawaii. Thank you for taking the time to visit Viktoria's new website to indulge in her impressions of the tropics. If you have seen Viktoria's work at Chamorro Village or in a show and you can't find the print that you are interested in purchasing please give Viktoria a call to determine if she still has it in stock.
